There are six new cards to play with in Clash Royale anda lot of old cards have seen some tweaks, so you're likely wondering - What does this mean for my deck?

Well,148Appshas made things nice and simple for you and broke down exactly what you should do with the changes in mind. Enjoy!

Bye bye Mortar

The Mortar was deemed too powerful for its low cost of four Elixir, so this new patch increases the deploy time to two seconds and nerfs its damage by 10%.

While this doesn't make the card unusable by any stretch, lots of Mortar-centric decks will probably have to try something new.

Elixir Collector is more fragile

Part of what made the Elixir Collector so appealing before was that it could serve two functions: produce additional Elixir and serve as a distraction for units as they got mowed down by Crown Towers.

With a 20% reduction to its overall hit points, the Elixir Collector will now be a much less useful distraction.

New improved Mirror

The Mirror has usually been seen as a bit of a novel card that was hard to use well. This new update looks to change that.

Now when a player uses the Mirror, the copies they produce will be one level higher than they were. Huzzah!

Shorter fuse on Bomb Tower

In early arenas, the Bomb Tower dominates most units because of its decent hit points and long deployment time of 60 seconds.

This update axes that deployment time down to 40 seconds, making it much harder to use as a defensive unit.

Glass Cannons

The Cannon was another popular structure pre-patch, largely because of its value. This value has now been reduced in the form of an 11% decrease on overall hit points.

Royal Giants get a longer game

Before of is significantly increased range, the Royal Giant is now a pretty significant threat in Clash Royale, ashe can outrange multiple defensive buildings.

The Fireball is felt by all

Prior to this patch, the Fireball had a pushing effect in addition to its damage-dealing properties that applied to all units except the Valkyrie and Mini P.E.K.K.A. Now, the Fireball affects all units, those two included.

Hog/Freeze is still a threat

Despite all of these changes, nothing was tweaked to alter the Hog Rider or Freeze card, which is a hugely popular and effective combination. Plan accordingly.
