Bluehole Studio and KRAFTON have released a new teaser trailer for their upcoming loot extravaganza Dark and Darker Mobile. Alongside this look into the underside of treasure hunting, we have received a few pieces of information about gameplay modes and other offerings.

Dark and Darker Mobile is an extraction RPG, the type of game where you charge into a map and try to gather as much as you can then escape before invariably getting sniped. The difference here is that Bluehole has done away with the usual guns, and instead, you will have to embrace your inner medieval warrior to succeed.

The latest teaser trailer and info release show a couple of interesting reveals. The first is the two ways to go after your loot; PvE and PvP dungeons. They do what you would expect really, the player vs environment strips the competitiveness and throws you against computer beasts to battle, and you can take your time exploring.

Player vs Player, however, is where you go if you wake up thinking you want to take an axe to the face today. The loot will rapidly deplete as more people are around to grab it, and you will have to face off with other skilled humans, desperate to get the shiny you just found. Pick either type and head into the high-level endgame dungeons to really earn your coin.

If you don’t want to go hunting alone, then the Sidekick system will be right up your street. You will be able to recruit an AI companion to go with you, help you gather loot, and then throw them to the monster as you make your escape. You can also use the pet system to grant yourself various buffs, but not let the monsters take them.

Whilst we don’t have a solid release date for Dark and Darker Mobile yet, KRAFTON is aiming to get it out by the end of 2024, so anytime within the next nine months. Mark your calendars with a huge circle.
