How to counter Hog Rider in Clash Royale

The Hog Rider can be a real pain in Clash Royale. He's nippy, can jump the river, and will be eating away at your tower in no time.
Here's how to deal with him.
Swarm
Swarm units like Goblins, Skeletons, and Minions can make short work of the Hog Rider, but you'll likely have to drop them near the tower or he'll run right past them.
Distraction
The Hog Rider targets the nearest building, so placing another structure close to him will distract him from your tower.
