Once you get up to around Adventure Rank 25, Genshin Impact starts to turn into a different thing. What was once a story-driven affair evolves into something more like a traditional MMO.

This isn't to say there isn't anything to do, though there are fewer novel things to uncover at this stage in the game. That being said, this is where you really need to start focusing your energy in the right direction, particularly if you're a non-paying player. If you're playing Genshin Impact without spending money, you'll always need to be looking for ways to optimize your play to maximize rewards without getting stuck in a position where you're tempted to spend. The most obvious trap here is the game's gacha system that is constantly dangling cool new characters in front of you in hopes that you'll want to go all-in on Wishes.

Primogems are the only currency you can use on Genshin Impact's virtual slot machine, but you don't always need to be spending them to try and get new characters. Genshin Impact is great fun, but make no mistake: this is a gacha game. It is designed specifically to suck away time and money from you, and one of the ways the game does this is by offering a drip-feed of currencies you will feel compelled to collect and spend in the optimal way.

If you've followed our progression guide for Genshin Impact up to Adventure Rank 25, you have reached the point where you can face off against Stormterror on a weekly basis for some pretty sweet rewards. Beating this deadly dragon isn't as easy as it is in the story mission when you got a loaner Venti to dish out damage for you, though, so you'll need to go into the fight with a plan.

Genshin Impact has unveiled its first of what we can expect to be many special events and ongoing content updates. This latest update adds the Elemental Crucible Event. This event is available to any players that have reached Adventure Rank 20, have completed the Prologue, and completed a minor new quest from Timaeus that introduces the event itself.

Well, it seems we picked a good time to jump back into Clash Royale. Not only was the game still familiar and easy enough to slip back into, but we got enough lead time to climb the ranks to Legendary Arena just before the game dropped Clan Wars 2 on everyone.

Among Us! is one of the biggest suprise hits of the year, most notably because it's a two-year old free-to-play game. I get the appeal, though. In following and writing about games through this pandemic, I've noticed a distinct desire for game play to be more social. I even suggested a few games that accomplish this, though I couldn't have predicted the way droves of people have gravitated to Among Us!

For those unfamiliar, Among Us! is a social deduction multiplayer game where up to 10 players take on the role of either a crew member or an imposter. Crew members need to wander the ship and complete tasks to win the game, but imposters try to muck up those plans by sabotaging the ship and killing other crew members. Along the way, there will be times where the crew convenes and votes on who they think is an imposter, and the player with the most votes gets tossed out the air lock. Crew members win if they successfully complete all their tasks or get rid of all the imposters. Imposters win if they kill the entire crew or successfully sabotage the ship.

The gameplay is not too unlike a lot of popular board games like Secret Hitler or Codenames, but in its digital form it can be a bit daunting, particularly if you haven't played a game like it before. With that in mind, here are a few tips to help you dive into Among Us! and have fun with it.
