The end game of Genshin Impact largely revolves around spending resin to take on world bosses and clear domain challenges. These fights grant amazing rewards like rare artifacts and ascension materials for weapons and adventurers, but obviously only if you're up for the challenge.

This guide will teach you how to beat the Geo Hypostasis, a geometric cube that hangs out on a remote island in the Guyun Stone Forest to the east of Liyue Harbor. Defeating the Geo Hypostasis should be a top priority if you rely on Geo adventurers like Ningguang or Zhongli to fill out your squad. Luckily, it's totally possible to beat this boss with little to no problem, even if you're underleveled. Read on below to find out how.

Claymore time

The Geo Hypostasis doesn't have any specific elemental weaknesses, but it does rely on sturdy Geo constructs to protect itself from your attacks. The best ways to bust these down is with claymore users. The heavy, two-handed swords that characters like Chongyun, Beidou, Diluc, Razor, and Noelle use are ideal for attacking these structures and destroying them.

If you don't have a claymore user that's leveled, your next best bet is to use Ningguang, as her gem attacks also deal good damage to constructs, though the Hypostasis itself is immune to Geo damage.

Read and react

The Geo Hypostasis fight is all about patience. As long as you know what to expect and react accordingly you could--conceivably--win the fight with completely unleveled characters without taking a hit.

For the majority of the fight, the Hypostasis likes to hide on top of Geo constructs and attack you from there. As this is happening, all you need to do is rush up to the construct it's on and wail on it with your claymore user of choice. While doing this, the only things you need to look out for are an animation of the construct "powering up" to deliver a seismic blast and a second, smaller construct appearing near the original one. In reaction to the former, simply get quickly get distance between you and the construct to avoid the blast. With the latter, destroy the smaller construct immediately to earn a shield of protection against seismic blasts that start pulsing all over the fighting area.

After every construct you destroy with the Hypostasis on it, it becomes vulnerable to attack, so make sure to switch to your main damage dealer to maximize the hurt whenever it falls. Similarly, once all constructs have been destroyed, the Hypostasis will begin attacking more directly while leaving itself vulnerable to counterattacks. All of these attacks are slow and clunky, so it's simple enough to dash around them to the exposed Hypostasis and deal damage.

If the fight with the Hypostasis drags on long enough, it may respawn its constructs. In that case, you simply repeat the same steps again until you get the boss's health critically low.

Finishing the job

When you've gotten the Geo Hypostasis down to almost zero health, it spawns three special constructs that you must destroy as quickly as possible. These constructs help the boss regain health, but if you're able to burst all of them down quickly, the boss dies, leaving you to reap your rewards.

If you aren't quite strong enough to take out the constructs all at once, don't worry. As long as you can focus and demolish at least one construct during this time, you're on the road to victory. The Hypostasis will regain health and you'll have to repeat the same steps above all over, but when you get the boss back down to critically low health, it doesn't respawn all three regenerating constructs. The only ones that reappear are the ones you haven't destroyed. Finish those off, and the fight is over.
