Catalyst Black - Best Build
Catalyst Black's Secret Service early access period is still going strong, and we're checking back in to give you the ultimate guide from our series so far: The Perfect Build. With this set of gear and abilities, you will be unstoppable against just about anyone you come up against... at least, that's how it's been working for us.
Obviously, Catalyst Black has a sense of balance that I'm sure Super Evil Megacorp is working on, but we've found a certain combination of items that seems to allow us to mow down just about anyone while avoiding death, helping teammates, and completing objectives. The Build
- Mask - Torden
- Power - Guardian
- Relic - Smite
- Primary - Primal Eye (Sniper Banner)
- Heavy - Objection (Sniper Banner)
- Ability - Leap Attack (Protector Banner)
- Trinket - Choker of Phasing (Protector Banner)
The idea for this gear loadout is to strike a balance between damage and survivability, which is why it's comprised of items from the Sniper and Protector Banners. With your sniper rifles, you deal massive chunk damage to enemies, and if anyone gets too close, you can use your ability or transform to escape or finish them off.

What about Catalyte mods?
We've found this build to be effective almost regardless of the mods equipped to the equipment, though obviously using them can help. As you can tell from the screenshots above, we have been opting for mods that continue the trend of increasing your damage while giving you some more health or movement buffs.
