Genshin Impact's 1.1 update has brought a ton of new content to the game, and one of these things is a brand new event: Unreconciled Stars. This event kicked off yesterday and is running through the end of the month. There are sweet rewards and some cool world-building that happens across the event, so make sure you hop in and start it as soon as possible.
Just keep in mind that Unreconciled Stars is only available to players who are Adventure Rank 20 or higher. If you need tips on how to advance up to that rank quickly, check out our progression guide here before reading on about how to get involved in this event.
The core of Unreconciled Stars revolves around pieces of metorites that impacted all over Teyvat. When you initiate the event, people from Mondstadt are curious as to where the metorites came from and how they might be affecting people, and it's up to you to help them do that. For whatever reason, people who touch the metorites fall asleep, but your adventurers can collect them without issue.
From a gameplay perspective, this means that the event will assign three different regions of Teyvat for you to investigate each day to gather Meteorite Shards. On top of this, you'll receive three quests, which grant rewards in the form of Primogems, Mora, and Fading Star's Might.
Gathering Metorite Shards and completing event quests gives players a special currency called Fading Star's Might. This currency can buy things in a special store that's only available during the Unreconciled Stars event period. There isn't anything in this store that is exclusive or super rare, but the things it offers you usually have to spend resin on, so it's nice to have an exclusive currency to blow on character ascension and talent level up materials.
Outside of the event shop, there is also promise of receiving a free adventurer as part of the Unreconciled Stars event. Fischl, the electro, bow-using DPS princess is free for the taking in this event, provided you are able to complete everything it has to offer. This includes gathering all your Meteorite Shards every day and completing each quest.
The second stage of the Unreconciled Stars event includes Metorite Challenges where you complete combat challenges in close-quarters to get some of the event's sweetest rewards to-date. These challenges come in the form of larger metorite deposits that Mona can help you find across Teyvat. When you arrive at one, you can initiate a combat challenge in which you need to dispatch a number of foes in a short time limit and within a small combat circle.
As you defeat enemies within the circle, a meter fills. Once full, you can then redeem rewards from the larger meteor by spending 20 resin. These challenges are absolutely worth doing, especially you can complete them at the highest level (enemy level 75), as these challenges grant 45 Fading Star's Might apiece. On top of that, every five of these challenges you complete grants you 30 Primogems, 20,000 Mora, and 10 farmable items. This reward stream tops off once you've completed 30 challenges, but that's still opportunity to earn 900 Primogems and 600,000 Mora!
Other things about the event
Tips for gathering shards:
- Pay attention to your adventurer's fate (the glowing object that gives them elemental powers), as it will glow and pulse as you get close to shards.
- Since the shards fell from the sky, most of them will be on higher ground within your search area.
- Each search quest only requires you to find seven shards, but you can keep looking for more to maximize your currency to spend in the store.
- Unreconciled Stars is a time-gated event, so you can't do everything in it immediately. You have to wait for certain quests to open up to complete them. See below for the full schedule:
- Unknown Star: 11/16
- Star of Deceitful Dreams: 11/18
- Star of Destiny: 11/23
- Event Close: All of these events remain open after unlocking until the event close date on 11/30
Finally, there are some character-specific bonuses in this event. All quests related to the Unreconciled Stars event give a 60% damage boost to the following adventurers:
- Targaglia (Childe)
