Part of what makes gacha games compelling (and sometimes annoying) is their grind. You’re always supposed to be advancing something in these games, meaning you need to be checking in on your progress once or multiple times a day to make sure you’re progressing at an optimal pace.
Something nice about Dragalia Lost is that its daily grind is relatively light compared to similar games. This is to say the specific objectives given to you every day aren’t something that takes a huge time investment. That said though, there’s quite a few tasks you should be doing every day to advance your progress, even though they aren’t daily quests. See below:
As of this writing, you’re no longer able to take on Phraeganoth or any of the other content in Loyalty’s Requiem. Dragalia Lost will just go back to its original state at launch… or will it?
According to some savvy players, there’s another event coming to Dragalia Lost, and it’s coming very soon. Thanks to some data mining and other clever trickery, there’s a quite a bit of info on this next event coming out, and we’ve compiled the most important bits in one convenient place. See below for what you need to know:
Dragalia Lost is primarily is cooperative multiplayer game. There’s some stuff you can do on your own, but things like the Phraeganoth raid require that you play with others online.
When playing with other people, you want to make sure you look like you know what you’re doing. Not only does it help make the online experience run more smoothly, but you’ll pass missions more often and receive more rewards in return. So, with that, check out our expert tips for being a great teammate in Dragalia Lost
In a previous Dragalia Lostguide on Loyalty’s Requiem, I mentioned that the minimum Might threshold for beating Phraeganoth was around 6,000, and now I’m going to tell you exactly how clear this raid if you have such a team. If you’re not much for words, you can also just check out the video above and watch a 6k team of mine (barely) clear the raid.
There are some definite strategies you need to know to beat Phraeganoth, but—as you can see in the video—executing on them can be tricky and put you in a bad spot fast. Nevertheless, if you are just careful enough, you can beat Phraeganoth using the following strategies:
Dragalia Lost has only bit out for a little more than a week, and it’s already got new event-based content. Loyalty’s Requiem is a raid-style event where players can face the powerful Phraeganoth in four teams of four adventurers in hopes to earn all kinds of sweet loot, including a new dragon.
This event is only going to be up for 10 days, so everyone’s rushing around trying to figure out how they can blaze through the whole thing and earn the best rewards for it. Luckily, we have some tips for you that can help you do just that. See below:
The more you dig into Dragalia Lost, the more stuff you find you need to do. There’s leveling your heroes, tending to your dragons, crafting weapons, and—of course—questing. Since the game is still relatively new though, it can be confusing to know what you should be focusing on, even if you’ve already sunk a lot of time into the game.
Of course, the real answer to what you should focus on is whatever you feel is most important to you at any given time. But, we have been pretty much playing Dragalia Lost nonstop since its release and are prepared to share with you a few progression tips that let you make smart, long-term investments into getting further in the game faster.
Dragalia Lost has finally arrived and it’s very much a gacha game. You grind out dungeons over and over again, earning all sorts of currencies, one of which you use to try and summon new heroes and items with. This currency is known as Wyrmite, and it’s arguably the most important thing in the game.
If you’ve already started your journey in Dragalia Lost and are trying to ferret out every last way to earn Wyrmite, we’re here to help. Check out these tips for earning boatloads of Wyrmite as quickly as possible.
Voodoo games has come out with a sequel to their territory-claiming game Paper.io, and we have all the tips you need to chew up the scenery and claim the crown. We've put a good few hours into the game now, and we've picked up some impressive hints and tips along the way. So we're going to share them with you.
When you start up the game, you'll be thrown into an arena with several other players. How close they are to you - and how much time they've already had to start claiming territory - seems to largely be up to chance. When you first arrive, then, start out by coloring in small pieces of the world until you get a feel for things, and figure out where your opponents are.
Watch and wait
When it comes to the other players, it's best to avoid them until you have some territory claimed. Crossing another player's unfinished line will cause you to die, and while it might also take them out, that won't help you win any more ground. As your area grows larger you can try to manipulate your opponents into crossing your line by drawing in front of them, but you'll want to make sure they don't try to do the same to you.
Nibble it up
While you want to be careful about crossing the lines of your opponents, you shouldn't hesitate to take a bite out of their territory in order to add to your own. In fact, you'll likely have to in order to keep adding to your score, especially as the game progresses. Again, it's easiest to take little pieces at first, but if you realize your opponent is far away - or not paying attention - that's your chance to take a sizeable piece of their claim.
Consider ad-free
The only transaction in the game is a purchase to remove ads, and if you really want to rise to the top, you might consider forking over the cash. The ads are frustratingly intrusive, playing after almost every round, and it can be hard to get into the flow of the game when you're constantly interrupted by them. Removing them lets you get rounds in quicker, and get more practice -but how worthwhile it is to have the extra time is up to you.
Phantomgate isn’t your typical Netmarble social rpg. For starters, it has all sorts of platforming and puzzle-solving elements in addition to the gacha-style shenanigans that all these releases seem to have.
Never fear though, as we can’t seem to pry ourselves away from any new Netmarble release. We’ve dug in plenty far into Phantomgate and have all the tips you need to know to give your self a great start (particularly if you plan to play without paying).
When Iron Marines released around this time last year, I lauded it as one of the best real-time strategy games on mobile, and I still stand by that. The game wasn’t perfect by any means, as it had a relative lack of content and a weird mircotransaction model that felt unnecessary, but it was still a near-perfect execution on how to streamline a genre onto mobile.
This week, Iron Marines dropped a new update that added a bunch of free content to the game. In light of this news, I wanted to take a new look at Iron Marines and assess whether this update makes the game worth jumping into if you decided to skip it initially.
Bouncing Hero is a really tough but fair action game. Your pogo knight can be pretty nimble at times, but it’s up to you to steer him out of the way of fire or other obstacles, which is much easier said than done.
A lot of the game revolves around simply learning from your mistakes and training yourself to execute, but there are some generally good strategies you can use to help you do this. See below for some of key advice for bouncing through Bouncing Hero.
There’s more going on in Alphabear 2 than you might think at first blush. What seems like a simple word game is actually a multi-layered puzzle game that doesn’t operate much like other word games do.
If you’ve picked up Alphabear 2 have been taken by its charm and style, but find yourself struggling when it comes to the game itself, we’ve got you covered. See below for some quick-and-dirty tips for doing well in Alphabear 2.
Hello Stars is a combination of an idle game where you try to gain more fans and play on a bigger stage, and a puzzle game where you earn coins to help advance your rockstar career. Here's some tips to help you become the best of the best and shoot to stardom.
If you keep these in mind, you should be well on your way to blasting through the puzzles and soaring to the top of the world stage. And if you've got your own hints and tips that you think other players will find helpful, make sure you add them in the comments section at the bottom of the article.
The number of fans you have determines the size of the stage you'll play on, so if you want to make it to the top you'll need lots of them. The best way to earn fans is by upgrading your act, and passively drawing fans to you, rather than clicking. As you earn coins, don't be afraid to spend them on your sweet dance moves.
Don't give in to your vanity
Many of the things you can spend your hard-earned coins on are actually cosmetic upgrades, letting you change the appearance of your ball or drawing line in puzzle levels, for example. These won't actually help you advance faster, so your coins are better spent on other things - unless, of course, you see something you just can't live without.
Don't be afraid to use hints
That said, don't let your need to save coins stop you from using hints if you get stuck on a puzzle level. Sometimes you'll be offered a chance to get a hint in exchange for an ad, but if you're truly stuck don't be afraid to hand over the coins in order to advance. After all, puzzle levels are the only way to make more coins, so getting stuck will definitely hold you up.
Take a light touch with your ink
When it comes to the puzzles themselves, you'll be drawing lines in order to get the orb where you want it to go. The less ink you can use, the closer you'll get to scoring a perfect for the level, and the more coins you'll earn. Try and make your lines as efficient as possible in order to save ink, and don't hesitate to reset a level if your line doesn't turn out quite like you wanted.
Sling Drift from Tastypill puts you in charge of directing your car around the track, drifting around curves to go as far as you can. And if you want to make sure every drift pulls around the corners perfectly, we've got the tips to help you succeed.
In Knights Chronicle, crystals are king. There are certainly other important forms of currency or consumables out there (i.e. gold, stamina, etc.), but crystals are they key to progress in the game. Without crystals, you can't summon new heroes, and without new heroes, you're really limited in terms of how far you can progress.
Luckily, Knights Chronicle is pretty good about doling out crystals, provided you know where to look for them. See below for all these ways you can earn crystals without spending any money in Knights Chronicle.
