LifeAfter’s Resident Evil crossover has returned with new skins, levels, and more

LifeAfter’s Resident Evil crossover event is back for phase two after it successfully held an earlier collaboration earlier this year in August.

NetEase Games has kicked off phase two of the LifeAfter x Resident Evil event, which saw characters from the popular Capcom series appear within the framework of the familiar LifeAfter post-apocalypse survival gameplay. The event will last from this Thursday, 3rd December, and run until 17th December.

Lara Croft returns in Tomb Raider Reloaded, headed for mobile in 2021

Square Enix has unveiled the next entry in the Tomb Raider series, this time headed for mobile platforms sometime in 2021.

Tomb Raider Reloaded sees the return of iconic video game legend Lara Croft as she explores lost ruins, battles wild animals and solves extravagant puzzles. The game will be a free to play action arcade title developed between Square Enix London and Emerald City Games.

New update for The Battle of Polytopia puts it on par with the PC version

The Battle of Polytopia released on PC back in August of this year with iOS and Android versions being dated too far behind. But now developer Midjiwan AB has released the Moonrise update to put it on the same level as its PC counterpart, bringing with it all of the features the popular strategy title has on that platform.

The Battle of Polytopia introduces a whole host of new features to the game including multiplayer matchmaking which’ll allow you to play against anyone from across the globe. Additionally, you can now create yourself an avatar to use in these online matches with a pool of randomly generated options to choose.

The next expansion for Gwent, “Way of the Witcher”, arrives in December

CD Projekt Red has announced Way of the Witcher, the next free expansion for its card game, Gwent: The Witcher Card Game. You won’t have long to wait either, as it’s coming to the game on 8th December.

This next expansion will introduce 70 new cards to play, each one focusing on the origins of witchers and their creator, Alzur. Many of the cards being added to the ever-growing roster will be faction-specific, but ten of them will be neutral that can be used with any Gwent faction.

FMV thriller The Complex coming to iOS and Android in December

Wales Interactive has announced its interactive FMV sci-fi thriller, The Complex, is coming to iOS and Android on 3rd December.

After a bio-weapon attack occurs in London, two scientists become locked in a laboratory with a limited air supply. Over the course of the game, you follow these two scientists as they make startling discoveries about the lab, form powerful relationships with other characters, and try to stay alive. You’ll also be making choices that affect the outcomes of these events, with it all ultimately leading up to one of eight different endings.

Marvel Realm of Champions will launch worldwide next month

Following a hefty pre-registration period, Kabam has now revealed that its 3v3 MOBA Marvel Realm of Champions will release on iOS and Android devices on 16th December and there will be a big update made to the game to celebrate it.

In Marvel Realm of Champions, you will be able to do battle against heroes and villains of the Marvel Comics universe in small 3v3 matches. You’ll be able to customise your own version of these superheroes, selecting from different gear and weapons to suit your own playstyle as well as the different situations you’re up against. Hand-drawn adventure game Inked: A Tale of Love coming to iOS next year

Two years after its original launch on PC, hand-drawn adventure game Inked: A Tale of Love has been announced to be coming to iOS devices on 20th January, 2021, and pre-orders are open now on the App Store.

You control a nameless hero, a ronin-type character who must make his way through a series of geometric puzzles as he searches for Aiko, his lost love. The twist is that the hero and the circumstances surrounding his story are actually a fabrication of a comic book artist named Adam, and you’re instead playing out the plot that this artist has outlined. As it goes on, parallels are drawn between the two men as the narrative intertwines in unexpected ways.

Perspective puzzler Hocus 2 landing on iOS later this month

Hocus 2, the sequel to the 2015 puzzler Hocus, is being released on iOS on 25th November.

It’s a puzzle game where you have to solve a number of mind-boggling puzzles that utilise perspective and illusions to deceive you, a bit like a game that M.C. Escher and his exploration of impossible objects would create.

It’s launching with 55 levels created from scratch, and you’ll have to make use of four different mechanics in order to solve each one. Developer gamebra.in promises it will be a very dynamic game, employing more illusion-inspired combinations and encouraging creative solutions to the various different puzzles.

New update for Rumble Stars adds new character, modes and more

There’s a new update for Rumble Stars landing later this week on Android and iOS devices.

Frogmind’s popular MOBA sports game will be receiving a major update to the game, and with it brings some new features, modes as well as introducing a brand new Legendary level Rumbler to the game.

The Spy Chameleon is the latest Rumbler to be added to the game’s ever-growing roster, and he will attempt to cause much chaos on the pitch. He’ll infiltrate the opposing team and trick opponents into passing him the ball, and once he’s received the pass he will reveal his true identity and go for the goal.

Crash Bandicoot: On The Run! spins onto mobile in 2021

There’s a Crash Bandicoot endless runner coming to mobile sometime next spring.

Its publisher, King, has announced Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! will release on iOS and Android devices in Spring 2021, and the App Store listing suggests a launch date of 25th March.

This mobile spin-off to the popular platformer series will deliver the familiar classic gameplay that fans of the franchise will recognise. You’ll spin, jump and slide through the usual roster of Crash Levels playing as either Crash or his sister, Coco. There are hidden paths to discover, which are a lot more dangerous, but offer the potential of bigger rewards.

Physics-based tower defense game Goblin Raiders out now on mobile

Indie developer Arif Games has released Goblin Raiders on iOS and Android.

It’s a retro-inspired tower defense game where you have to defend your castle from hordes of goblins who are attempting to scale the walls. The game offers a wide range of options to fight them with. You can drop rocks on them, burn them, poison them or fire arrows at them, but be warned that they will fight back.

Many of these weapons suit the medieval-themed setting, so you can expect crossbows and other weaponry from that time period to make an appearance, but there are also sillier weapons such as bowling balls to use in the more ludicrous scenarios, with an overall choice of 30 items in your arsenal to use.

XCOM 2 Collection on iOS now available for pre-order

The XCOM 2 Collection, which was recently announced to be coming to iOS in November, is now available to pre-order on the App Store.

It’s an isometric tactical shooter in which you control a squad of human soldiers fighting back against an extra-terrestrial regime that has taken over the planet. You take these soldiers on missions to fight back against the alien threat, reclaiming regions and recruit new people to your cause.

New update for Cookies Must Die adds new characters, new enemy types, and more

A new update for Rebel Twins’ platformer shooter Cookies Must Die is coming out this week. The update adds quite a bit to the game, including new levels and characters to play around with.

Eight new characters are being added, each with their own unique special attacks. You can unlock these characters by collecting all map parts and winning special battles corresponding to their character. With new characters come new foes to contend with, and six new enemy types are also being added alongside that.

Voxel roguelike Knight Fright out now on iOS

ATOOI’s Knight Fright is a voxel-based roguelike that’s just been released on iOS.

Looking similar in appearance to the Capcom classic Ghosts N’ Goblins, the game has you hopping around on a blocky hill defeating all manners of evil monsters. One step at a time, you have to vanquish the earth of the menacing ghouls, ghosts and goblins that have invaded it.

Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins coming to mobile

A new Doctor Who game is coming to iOS and Android.

Kaigan Games is bringing a new mobile iteration of the beloved British sci-fi series to our devices. Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins has players uncover and decipher the mystery of a ‘found phone’, which unravels a series of events taking place at the iconic uninhabited home featured in the now-famous ‘Blink’ episode from the TV show.

The game, involving the mystery of a missing person and the return of Doctor Who’s iconic Weeping Angels, also sees the return of several classic Who actors including Ingrid Oliver and Finlay Robertson.
