On top of granting general stat boosts, runes can also be upgraded and equipped in sets to make your heroes even more powerful. See below for some handy things to keep in mind about runes.

Knights Chronicle guide - How to upgrade your heroes

Posted by Campbell Bird on June 29th, 2018

If you've been playing Knights Chronicle for a while now, it's likely you've got a set of heroes you feel pretty good about. In fact, you've probably fed these heroes a other units and Rainbowmons to level them up as high as they can go. What you might not realize though is that there's a bunch of other stuff you can do to your heroes to make them even more powerful than being max level.

Even if you did know this though, there's quite a bit that goes into making a hero as powerful as they can possibly be. Check out these tips below to find out just how and why you should be going about maxing out your heroes' potential.

Everything you need to win in Knights Chronicle

Knights Chronicle, Netmarble's latest turn-based rpg, has you building up a party of heroes and leveling them up to take on enormous bosses and teams of other players' heroes. It's not the easiest game to get into though, as it has a ton of different systems and layers of mechanics that you have to wrap your mind around.

Between leveling, limit breaking, town management, summoning, and--of course--battling, Knights Chronicle throws a lot of stuff at players, and we're here to help you do all of that stuff better! See below for our compiled list of Knights Chronicle guides and keep checking back as we add more great tips moving forward.

Knights Chronicle guide - Which SR and R units to keep

Posted by Campbell Bird on June 27th, 2018

If you've been playing Knights Chronicle like we have, you've been summoning a bunch of heroes and then scouring the internet to find out which ones are worth keeping and which ones aren't. After all, you don't want to over fill your Hero Box and spend valuable gems on making it bigger.

While it's pretty obvious that you want to hold on to most SSR characters, the rest of the game's cast is a little more mysterious. Specifically, many SR and R characters can evolve into powerful six-star units, but which ones should you give this treatment, and which ones should you use as food for your other heroes? Check out this guide for the answers to these questions:

Knights Chronicle guide - How to manage your stamina without spending money

Posted by Campbell Bird on June 25th, 2018

Knights Chronicle is a pretty great turn-based rpg, but it's free-to-play mechanics are pretty tough to deal with. In particular, the use of a stamina meter to limit the amount of times you can play the game in one session can be a real bummer. The easiest way around this issue–of course–is to spend some money on the game for Stamina Potions to let you play more of the game more often. But, if you're like me and don't want to spend a penny on Knights Chronicle, here are a few ways to can circumvent this pesky, restrictive system.

Super Hydorah guide - How to straighten up and fly right

Posted by Campbell Bird on May 11th, 2018

Super Hydorah is an old-school shooter in almost every way imaginable. This means that it can be quite tough and unforgiving at times. If you find yourself struggling in the game, feel free to try out some of these tips to help you have a better time with it.

Don't be afraid of Easy Mode

Upon learning that Super Hydorah has an Easy Mode, you might reflexively avoid it and go with the game's Normal Mode, but this is most likely a mistake. Unless you are a seasoned shooter player or you've already been through Super Hydorah once, Easy Mode is the way to go.

Easy Mode grants you a rechargable shield, which can allow you to get further into levels more easily. You may not rack up quite as much score, but going through Super Hydorah on an easier difficulty can definitely help prepare you for subsequent runs on Normal Mode.

Posted by Campbell Bird on March 8th, 2018

We’ve been dying over and over in the absolutely brutal Temple of Spikes: The Legend recently, but somehow we can’t stop playing it. If you want to have as good a time as we are with the game, check out a few of these tips to help you out:

How to spot secret areas

Every level in Temple of Spikes has a secret area where you can go through a particularly challenging platforming section to retrieve a Scarab. These areas aren’t exactly easy to see though. They are almost always hallways that are hidden behind walls that you can just walk through, but there is a trick to spotting them. As you’re moving close to a level’s walls, your torch can shine past walls where secret passages are, so keep that in mind while you’re trying to go Scarab hunting.
