Dragalia Lost Daily Tasks Guide

Posted by Campbell Bird on October 16th, 2018

Part of what makes gacha games compelling (and sometimes annoying) is their grind. You’re always supposed to be advancing something in these games, meaning you need to be checking in on your progress once or multiple times a day to make sure you’re progressing at an optimal pace.

Something nice about Dragalia Lost is that its daily grind is relatively light compared to similar games. This is to say the specific objectives given to you every day aren’t something that takes a huge time investment. That said though, there’s quite a few tasks you should be doing every day to advance your progress, even though they aren’t daily quests. See below:

Everything You Need to Know About Dragalia Lost’s Next Event

Posted by Campbell Bird on October 15th, 2018

As of this writing, you’re no longer able to take on Phraeganoth or any of the other content in Loyalty’s Requiem. Dragalia Lost will just go back to its original state at launch… or will it?

According to some savvy players, there’s another event coming to Dragalia Lost, and it’s coming very soon. Thanks to some data mining and other clever trickery, there’s a quite a bit of info on this next event coming out, and we’ve compiled the most important bits in one convenient place. See below for what you need to know:

Dragalia Lost Guide - How to be a good teammate

Posted by Campbell Bird on October 9th, 2018

Dragalia Lost is primarily is cooperative multiplayer game. There’s some stuff you can do on your own, but things like the Phraeganoth raid require that you play with others online.

When playing with other people, you want to make sure you look like you know what you’re doing. Not only does it help make the online experience run more smoothly, but you’ll pass missions more often and receive more rewards in return. So, with that, check out our expert tips for being a great teammate in Dragalia Lost

Dragalia Lost Phraeganoth Guide

Posted by Campbell Bird on October 8th, 2018

In a previous Dragalia Lost guide on Loyalty’s Requiem, I mentioned that the minimum Might threshold for beating Phraeganoth was around 6,000, and now I’m going to tell you exactly how clear this raid if you have such a team. If you’re not much for words, you can also just check out the video above and watch a 6k team of mine (barely) clear the raid.

There are some definite strategies you need to know to beat Phraeganoth, but—as you can see in the video—executing on them can be tricky and put you in a bad spot fast. Nevertheless, if you are just careful enough, you can beat Phraeganoth using the following strategies:

Bouncing Hero guide - How to jump into this frenetic action game

Posted by Campbell Bird on September 26th, 2018

Bouncing Hero is a really tough but fair action game. Your pogo knight can be pretty nimble at times, but it’s up to you to steer him out of the way of fire or other obstacles, which is much easier said than done.

A lot of the game revolves around simply learning from your mistakes and training yourself to execute, but there are some generally good strategies you can use to help you do this. See below for some of key advice for bouncing through Bouncing Hero.

Alphabear 2 guide - How to build a better vocabu-beary

Posted by Campbell Bird on September 12th, 2018

There’s more going on in Alphabear 2 than you might think at first blush. What seems like a simple word game is actually a multi-layered puzzle game that doesn’t operate much like other word games do.

If you’ve picked up Alphabear 2 have been taken by its charm and style, but find yourself struggling when it comes to the game itself, we’ve got you covered. See below for some quick-and-dirty tips for doing well in Alphabear 2.

Knights Chronicle guide - Everything you need to know about the August 9 update

Posted by Campbell Bird on August 8th, 2018

It seems like every two weeks, we can expect some new and exciting things to come to Knights Chronicle. In the last update, there were some nice quality of life features added to the game, but aside from a couple new heroes, not anything huge to shake the game up too much.

This upcoming update, which should hit within the next 24 hours, promises much more than that. Balance changes to heroes, a whole new game mode, and–of course–some more heroes to gush over. See below for more details:

Knights Chronicle guide - The best PvP characters

Posted by Campbell Bird on August 2nd, 2018

We’re continuing our pseudo-tier list for Knights Chronicle by listing our picks of the best heroes to have on your team in the Arena.

Again, because the criteria for what makes a hero so great in Knights Chronicle can be extremely situational, we’ve simply given our top three picks for best heroes by type that will generally serve you well in the Arena. See our picks below:

Knights Chronicle guide - Everything you need to know about the July 26 update

Posted by Campbell Bird on July 25th, 2018

It's only been about a month since Knights Chronicle released and we're about to see our third huge update. The 1.1 release brought us the top tier attacker Morrigan along with some much-requested moves to make the game friendlier for free players, and the update that dropped just a week later added things like Haspiel Assault and the Taiyo Advent dungeon.

This latest update isn't quite out at the time of this writing, but it promises quite a few more goodies for Knights Chronicle players. See below for what some of these things might be:

Knights Chronicle guide - The best PvE characters

Posted by Campbell Bird on July 23rd, 2018

Everyone loves a good tier list, but there aren’t any great ones out there for Knights Chronicle. This isn’t just because no one bothered to make one though. It’s actually because heroes in Knights Chronicle may be valuable in one aspect of the game when they aren’t in another.

In an effort to build some semblance of a quality tier list for Knights Chronicle, you’d have to break down top heroes for each aspect of the game as well as sort them by the kind of hero they are, which is exactly what this list (the first of many) sets out to do.

This list of heroes in Knights Chronicle ranks the top three characters of each type purely by how good they are in Advent and Multiplayer Dungeons (also known as PvE). In other words, don’t use this list to build your Arena team. Check out our picks for best PvE heroes below:

Knights Chronicle guide - Multiplayer dungeon guide

Posted by Campbell Bird on July 19th, 2018

We’ve talked quite a bit about building your best team for PvP in Knights Chronicle, but there always comes a time in the game where you need to turn to other players for help. Multiplayer dungeons can be some of the hardest missions in the entire game, but they don’t necessarily have to be.

You see, the reason why clearing bosses like Decain and even the lowly Flare can be so hard is that you have to depend on players who may or may not know what they’re doing. In order to be a good team player in Knights Chronicle generally, keep the following tips in mind and you’ll likely save yourself and others a lot of time and stamina.

Knights Chronicle guide - How to make the most of your knight selector ticket

Posted by Campbell Bird on July 16th, 2018

The best thing about Knights Chronicle is how friendly it is to players that don’t want to spend any money on it. Although it’s surface structure looks like a ton of stingy moves trying to squeeze money out of players, there are a ton of free perks Netmarble grants to players just for sticking with the game.

One of these perks is the Knight Selector Ticket, which grants players the option to choose any white or dark knight SSR units if they log into Knights Chronicle daily for 28 days. This provides an awesome opportunity for all players to fill key gaps in their current rosters with some really quality units, provided they make their choice carefully. If you’re wondering what units are best to pick for your 28 day Knight Selector Ticket, keep reading to learn how to best up your game with this sweet perk.

Who to avoid

Of the White and Dark Knights to select in Knights Chronicle, there isn’t one that stands head and shoulders above the rest as the best pick for all players. That said, there are a couple heroes that generally don’t provide a ton of utility that you should probably avoid.

Namely, Marduk, Damian, and Nemesis are pretty weak picks at the moment. Marduk struggles mostly because he only offers tons of defense without much damage output, prolonged taunting abilities, or useful hero talents. Damian, on the other hand, can become pretty great at deleting other characters, but getting him there takes a lot of investment in maxing him out, whereas Dark Knights like Ashley or Mary are pretty effective attackers almost immediately. Lastly, there’s Nemesis, who can be useful to counter teams that have a lot of reviving characters, but a lot of her damage output is dependent on generating Dark Orbs, which is a process that takes way too long at the moment.

Who to pick and why

If you pick any knights besides the three listed above, you’ll likely be a pretty happy camper, but let’s delve a little deeper into what each of these remaining characters have to offer:

    • Ramu - Despite being listed as a Hybrid-type fighter, Ramu is one of the best support characters in Knights Chroncile. This is mostly because she restores 10% of her party’s HP every turn and has the ability to revive two heroes at once with her ultimate ability. Her weakness is that she doesn’t really put out much damage at all, but all of her skills have utility outside of that that make Ramu one of the best picks you can make from this selector, both for PvP and PvE.
    • Mary - Mary is an offensive powerhouse. She has an extremely powerful ultimate ability that attacks all enemies at once and a chance to make three of her targets unable to revive. Mary is also interesting in that she gets more powerful as enemies die, making her a bigger threat the further into a fight you get. Out of all the knights available, Mary is a great pick, particularly if you want a great damage dealer for PvE missions.
    • Deimos - If Ramu sounds interesting, but you want a more traditional support character to add to your roster, Deimos is your best bet. Deimos not only provides healing, but also can remove buffs from enemies and grant Veil of Phantasm to your entire team, allowing you to avoid hard-hitting attacks right when you need to. Simply put, if you need a support hero and already have Ramu, or want someone more specialized for keeping your team alive, choose Deimos.
    • Ashley - The king of damage over time, Ashley is a great attacker to add to your party if you’re looking to build a team that excels at longer combat encounters. His kit involves an ability called Ebony Wound, which deals damage to heroes with it every turn and cannot be removed. On top of this, Ashley’s ultimate ability can do some amazing burst damage to a single target with the possibility to stunning for two turns as well. Of everyone in the selector, Ashley is probably best suited for people looking for a PvP damage dealer.

Make the best choice for your team

Ramu and Ashley are probably the best heroes to pick from this selector, but that doesn’t meant you should just blindly choose one of them. As mentioned in previous guides, Knights Chronicle is much more about having a team that works well together rather than just having a collection of powerful heroes.

At the end of the day, Mary might be just what you need to make your Dark/Water team be even more destructive, or you may want to take a chance on Marduk because you don’t have any defensive heroes at all and want to see if a future update buffs him a bit. No matter who you pick, just make sure it makes sense for your current hero box, and you can’t go wrong.

Knights Chronicle guide - How to beat Haspiel Assault

Posted by Campbell Bird on July 13th, 2018

The updates for Knights Chronicle just keep rolling in. This second update to the game comes just six days after the huge 1.1 update and adds quite a few new goodies to contend with.

One of these new goodies is a new multiplayer dungeon known as Haspiel Assault. We’ll also go over why you should take on this new dungeon at all.

Knights Chronicle guide - Everything you need to know about the July 11 update

Posted by Campbell Bird on July 12th, 2018

Just when we thought Knights Chronicle couldn’t get any better, Netmarble released yet another content update, coming just six days after the huge 1.1 patch. While this update isn’t quite as significant as the one that came before it, there are still some neat things to dig into here.

The main focus of this update is heroes, but there’s also a new event that’s been added. Check out details on all of these things below.

Knights Chronicle guide - How the town works, and why you should upgrade it

Posted by Campbell Bird on July 11th, 2018

There’s a lot of stuff going on in Knights Chronicle, and perhaps the most out of place element in it is its town management layer. Here, instead of training heroes or fighting monsters, you’re just upgrading buildings, most of which can help you earn or purchase new materials.

Upgrading your town can be a long road, but it’s well worth investing in. See below for some more info about the town and how to upgrade it.
