Once you're ready to begin, you can watch Marc's two-part tutorial on the foundations of pastels. He begins by showing you some important techniques, and then moves onto completing a landscape piece. Watching him you'll learn:

• How to perfect your color choices
• Even more basic techniques
Once you have mastered the basics Barb Bruns then explains how to create a still life pastel picture in a three-part series.
Barb walks you through every step of the process, beginning with underpainting and ending with highlights and details.

Once you have mastered the techniques to create these simple scenes you'll soon be creating amazing paintings to show off to your friends and family in no time at all.
