App Description

Use this fun and accessible app to discover caves, industry and people connected by the rocks under our feet.

Did you know that you can explore between Creswell Crags and Pleasley Vale using public footpaths and Phase 1 of the Archaeological Way, covering 18km and thousands of years of history?

Explore and share stories of the different impacts of a century of mining heritage, from the growth of villages with people coming to the area to work in the mines to the effects of the pit closure programme. A transformation has taken place with new country parks and realisation of new open spaces for people and nature.

This app is packed full of images and audio to enhance your visit and reveal the area's rich history in the eastern part of Bolsover in Derbyshire.

Features:
- Fascinating information about the different times and places between Creswell and Pleasley
- Audio snippets from the people who work and live on the Limestone
- GPS tracking allows you to navigate the site

This app makes use of GPS to show you places of interest close to your current location. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
