App Description

Welcome to the FREE Tring Heritage Trail App! This App provides a fascinating and valuable guide to the history of the town of Tring, Hertfordshire, UK. It includes information about the people and places of particular historic or general interest in and around the town. At each place, you will find a description of the location, an adventure for children and pictures past & present. Use the amazing SUPERimpose feature – it allows you to take photos of Tring today, that match the archive photos and blend the two together – creating your own ‘Then & Now’ collection. An audio description is also available within the App.

The trail is also supported by a printed guide, that can be obtained at: Tring Local history Museum, The Natural History Museum at Tring or Tring Information Centre.

In addition, there are 6 guided, trails for walking and cycling around some of the most beautiful spots in the local Chilterns scenery.

The app uses GPS to provide location alerts and directions. Please note that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
