Updated Bejeweled Blitz Ports the Full Facebook Experience to iOS
Bejewled Blitz, PopCap’s incredibly popular timed variant of the classic match-three game Bejewled made its way from Facebook into the App Store late last year. The game broke iOS ground, being the first universal iteration of the archetypal puzzle and is integrated into the new Bejewled and Bejewled HD, which are similar to the PC/Mac game Bejewled 3. Now PopCap has given the iOS version a Facebook-style makeover that allows gamers to play without Facebook friends or linking their accounts.
This new “universal” mode in version 1.2 now has Game Center integration with worldwide leader boards. More importantly to fans, the iOS version now also has all the Facebook special perks like daily spins, rare gems, the ability to get multiple bonuses, and stats for as long as you keep playing. There will even be weekly tournaments against PopCap’s iconic characters as well as lots of in-app purchases in place of Facebook credits.
The Bejewled franchise has sold more than 50 million units so far, and this iOS fermium version should only help with what must already be an impressive bottom line.

Get Shaking And Matching With Truffula Shuffula
Truffula Shuffula is the game in mind. It's a simple yet adorable Match Three title in which the player must help The Lorax to create clusters of three or more matching objects. It's a simple title that won't challenge players too much but it's the ideal experience for kids who are beguiled by the loveable Lorax.
The Shuffula part of the title relates to the ability to shake the device when any moves have been exhausted, thus giving players that keen extra edge to progress further.
Scores can be shared with friends via Facebook and Twitter, plus there's the ability to view the trailer of the movie while playing the game.
Free and an Universal app, Truffula Shuffula is ideal for keeping the kids occupied over the weekend.

Incubator Games Bringing Feeding Time to App Store March 2012
And instead of matching blue blocks with blue blocks, players must utilize the game's intuitive eating mechanic where players match various animals with their favorite snacks. For example, dogs can only eat bones and cats can only eat fish. Players will also be able to challenge their friends on the global leaderboards and if they're lucky, no pet will go hungry again.

Amiga Puzzle Game Squigs Comes To iOS
So, it's nice to see games from that era being converted to iOS, even more so when it's done by the original developer. That's exactly what's happened with Squigs, a puzzle game from 1993 that bears quite a resemblance to Columns and Tetris.
Essentially, it's a Match Three title in which players must match up the colorful Squigs in order to clear them and progress ever further. Multiple levels exist with the ability to unlock nine Squigs in all.
It's a gametype we've all seen before but as is often the way, it's entertaining stuff that's bound to be rather addictive.
Squigs is out now priced at $0.99.
