I've got quite a soft spot for the home computers of old. Systems like the Commodore 64 and Commodore Amiga offered some pretty cool games at the time and certainly paved the way to the games industry that we know and love now.

So, it's nice to see games from that era being converted to iOS, even more so when it's done by the original developer. That's exactly what's happened with Squigs, a puzzle game from 1993 that bears quite a resemblance to Columns and Tetris.

Essentially, it's a Match Three title in which players must match up the colorful Squigs in order to clear them and progress ever further. Multiple levels exist with the ability to unlock nine Squigs in all.

It's a gametype we've all seen before but as is often the way, it's entertaining stuff that's bound to be rather addictive.

Squigs is out now priced at $0.99.
