Discover the history beneath your feet as you walk around the streets near the Roman Baths.
Follow a map to see where famous Roman artefacts were found and learn about the magnificent Roman buildings that once stood here.
As you stroll around the perimeter of the Roman Baths, you’ll walk across the site of a grand Roman Temple; see where a gilt bronze head of the goddess Sulis Minerva was unearthed in 1727; and read the story of Junianus, a Roman oculist (eye doctor) who once worked in the area.
This tour is a great introduction to the Roman history of Bath, and to some of the amazing architecture and objects you’ll see when you visit the Roman Baths.
