There are an overwhelming amount of simulation games in the mobile market, and it takes something very unique to make a game in the genre stand out from the best of the bunch. Office Story is one game that manages to accomplish this. It's a simulation management game that could well be the love-child of Game Dev Story and The Sims.

In Office Story, players dive into the world of mobile development and take control of a small startup company with the aim of making it a global success. As in life, the market state is dynamic and constantly changing. New platforms and games come and go, and then there are the Angry Birds of the world. Office Story gives players the chance to try and make a name for their company by developing the next game or app that the world will go crazy for.

Office Story eases the player in like no other. The opening tutorial is quick, helpful, and to the point, then drops players right into the “action.” From this point on there is the ability to hire staff, train them up, kit out the office, and fulfill the wishes of the staff to keep them satisfied. Making money is no walk in the park but luckily the game begins with a lump sum of cash, which players must invest wisely. As players build up a name for themselves they can take into account trends and the popularity of platforms, and use it to create a social buzz in the market.

The game is incredibly addictive, and has the highest replay value of anything I’ve played as of late. With the opportunity to move the company to new locations, it always gives the player something new and exciting to discover as each market has its own ethnic composition and professional level of employees. Interestingly, whilst a project is in development the game will throw a ‘to-do’ list of sorts at the player, with the option of selecting from a number of choices that will either make or break a project. One of the most enjoyable aspects of the game, it allows players to try for a variety of different outcomes.

There isn’t really anything specific about Office Story that lets it down in any way. For a simulation management game, it has practically everything the player could desire. Easily accessible, and enjoyable for players of any age, this is a game that every iOS user should experience.
