Finnish developer 10tons has announced that their rogue-lite, Tesla Force, will release for iOS on 19th August as a premium title. You might already be familiar with the game since it previously launched on PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

It is an evolution of their previous game, Tesla vs Lovecraft and once again sees players facing off against hordes of cosmic nightmares in a bid to send them back to the abyss. According to the developer, it maintains the core concept of the previous game but introduces new gameplay elements alongside sleeker visuals. You can check out some gameplay in the video below.

You will play as either Tesla, Curie, Lovecraft or Shelley before wading into battle with an array of powerful weapons and fancy gadgets. Each character has its own speciality. For instance, Lovecraft has intimate knowledge of the horrors that lurk in the abyss whilst Marie Curie dual-wields weapons like no other.

Since Tesla Force is a rogue-lite, you can expect randomly generated levels, allowing for a potentially endless number of runs. However, that doesn't mean there isn't any kind of progression. Before heading out to fight the Eldritch terrors, you can upgrade each character with a variety of perks that will improve their prowess for slaying the monsters of the cosmos.

Tesla Force is available to pre-order now over on the App Store ahead of its release on 19th August. It is a premium game that costs $5.99. Alternatively, you can pick up the game from Steam, the Switch eShop and PlayStation Store.
