DragonVale World
is out this week, to the joy of former addicts and newcomers alike. It's a lovingly made little freemium game set in a fantasy world where dragons and people live together in harmony. It's your job to build a nice park for them to live in, and then breed and collect as many rare species as you can.

That takes some know-how, though, which you'll gain in time. For now, though, try these beginner tips to help you get acclimated with the game.

Complete goals
Keep an eye on the goals in the toolbar on the left hand side of the screen. These little extra challenges are meant to help you learn the game's mechanics, and will progress along with you as you continue to move further into the game. Completing goals also rewards you with fruit, money, and even gems.

Start upgrading your buildings ASAP
Buildings are vital to your park's progress. Upgrading buildings by tapping on them increases their productivity. You can start by upgrading the Snackery at level 5 for a little over 9,000 gold. As you level up, you'll be able to upgrade more buildings. Don't miss out on this if you want to get rich later on!

Keep the food flowing
Food keeps your little dragons healthy and strong, and you'll need to feed it to them regularly to help them level up. The higher the level, the more food dragons will need to eat. Higher level dragons earn more money and can produce rare dragons when they breed. Make sure that the Snackery has the maximum number of crop plots for its level, and see to it that there are always flower or berries growing to fill up your stores.

Clear land to make room
You'll run out of space for habitats eventually. You can upgrade habitats to increase their capacity starting at level 6, but if you need more living space for dragons before that, or if you want to build a new habitat type that you just unlocked, you'll need to have enough land. Eventually you'll unlock new areas in your park, but before that happens you can clear the land. To do so, just tap on trees, rocks, flowers, and bushes cluttering up your park and pay gold to have them cleared out. This will free up a little space for new buildings.

There's a lot to learn before you can master DragonVale World. These tips will help you learn the most and get your park off to a strong start.
