Garena International II has opened the latest round in its open beta for shooter Alpha Ace. With the latest test in March proceeding to some pretty positive feedback, Garena is looking for some more tips and tricks from anyone who wants to get involved.

Before everyone gets too excited, the bad news first. The beta is only available for Google Play at the moment, so Apple players should go sit in a corner now. Alpha Ace is a 5v5 shooter that tries to push tactical team combat to outwit and overwhelm the opposing team. With a wide variety of guns and close to 10 unique maps, there is a lot to learn and experience.

Right now there are a total of four game modes to try, with possibly more to come in the final release. There is of course the deathmatch mode, a 5v5 variant called Team Clash with never-ending respawns for constant action. The Demolition Clash is a take on the bomb squad mode where you defuse or defend the ordinance. If you are sick of teammates holding you back, the Arms Race spawns you with a simple gun which is upgraded through kills, ending with the golden Karambit.

One of the modes is very interesting and not one seen in these types of shooter games, and is dubbed the Challenge mode. This mode spawns you and your teammates with randomly generated weapons and perks and gives you set missions to beat and a single PvE target to take down together. It is a nice little addition to a largely PvP game, but also leaves room to maybe add some PvP elements where multiple teams hunt the same target and you can sabotage each other to get there first. Fingers crossed.

Those with an itchy trigger finger and an Android device can visit Google Play now to get involved and shape this promising new game.
