Golf began in St. Andrews in 1894 when a short course was erected on the lawns of the Algonquin Hotel. In the fall of 1998, construction began to upgrade the Algonquin golf course into a signature facility. Thomas McBroom was selected as the designer and on July 15, 2000, the full 18 holes were opened for play as well as a new clubhouse with exhilarating views of the Passamaquoddy Bay and the Town of St. Andrews. We invite all golfers to enjoy an exciting and challenging round of golf on grounds filled with history, folklore and breathtaking views.
