Beautiful in its naturally undulating landscape, La Purisima requires both skill and patience. A course that is likely to test your character, as well as reveal it! This stunning layout traces the valley floor before climbing to hilly terrain marked by huge oaks, slick perched greens, and giant sculpted bunkers. We don't believe in tricky designs with waterfalls, island greens, and railroad ties. However, when the Pacific breeze funnels through the Lompoc Valley, which it does some afternoons, even good players fight hard for par. This course is operated by golf purists for golf purists! We believe in the essence of playing golf in a natural environment, where fairways and greens are framed by nature. As it was when it opened in 1986, La Purisima remains a pure golf experience, unencumbered by homes or other distractions. That's why golfers of all abilities travel the necessary miles to play and test their game here. Whether it's PGA pros, celebrities, amateur hopefuls, low handicappers, or just those who enjoy the game in natural surroundings.
