The Capital Canyon Club course is characterized by small greens, which are well protected by a classic style of bunkering and it's routing that meanders through the tranquil high chaparral setting of Prescott. It plays to a par 71, with multiple tees that will fairly challenge every category of golfer. Throughout the course there are dramatic changes of elevation that will enhance the beautiful long distance views that can be seen during a round of golf. The course is routed through large boulder out-croppings with piñon pines, junipers, cottonwoods, as well as oak and aspen groves framing each hole. What I like the most, besides the inherent variety of each hole, is that there is a striking contrast between the formality of the golf holes and the adjacent rough terrain, both of which I feel provides the unique character to the course."
