How do the May autonomous, or self-driving, shuttles work?
The core of our technology is called Multi-Policy Decision Making (MPDM), an algorithm whose power comes from simulating and predicting behaviours of all agents in the AV’s environment, including the AV itself, in order to elect behaviours that lead to the best outcomes. This allows the AV to respond seamlessly and safely to a range of conditions that may not be possible otherwise.
