App Description

WHAT IS WIRMOBIL?
WirMobil is a driving service for people with disabilities. It is offered by the state of Berlin and operated by the company ViaVan GmbH.
This driving service takes you to your destinations in your free time, such as sightseeing, appointments with friends, events, to the train station or to the airport. You can also get picked up from there.
The service also includes stair assistance. The stair assistance can be also used without an associated ride.
You can be accompanied during the ride. An accompanying person is a person who rides with you free of charge from the beginning to the destination.
Journeys to doctors, therapists, as well as medical treatment in hospitals are not possible.


AUTHORIZATION
To use the transport service, you need an authorization number. Information on the subject of authorization can be obtained from the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (LAGeSo).

HOW TO REGISTER FOR WIRMOBIL
Before you can use the smartphone app or other channels, you must register. You can do this by following the steps below:

1. Apply for an entitlement number
You can obtain an entitlement number by applying to the Berlin State Office for Health and Social Affairs (LAGeSo). If you already have an entitlement number, you can skip this step.

2. Contact WirMobil
You must register once with WirMobil using your entitlement number. You can register by phone or by e-mail:

3. Provide information
When registering, you will need to provide some information so that we can prepare for your ride.

4. Receive personal access data
You will receive your personal access data from us with which you log in to the smartphone app and web app.


HOW TO BOOK A RIDE WITH WIRMOBIL
Book the ride 2 to about 14 days in advance. To book follow these steps:

1. Provide ride information
Enter the information about your desired ride.

2. Ride confirmed and time of pick-up communicated
The system will search for a ride after you place your order. Initially, a 30-minute pickup period will be communicated. We will reserve this period for you.

3. Track location and waiting time
In the smartphone app, you can view the current location of the WirMobil vehicle before your trip. You can also see the approximate time you have to wait for the WirMobil.

SPONTANEOUS RIDES
Spontaneous ride means: you don't want to plan the ride for a long time. This is also possible. You can book the ride on the same day. Or the day before. You can not always book a spontaneous ride. Only if a vehicle is free.


OWN CONTRIBUTION
The LAGeSo is responsible for the billing. Detailed information about the prices can be found on the LAGeSo website:
