App Description
Magic Flip is a new, smart music score viewer for iPad.
# Tracking
Most music score viewers are just glorified PDF readers - they don't understand the music at a semantic level. Magic Flip starts by using state-of-the-art computer vision techniques to gain a deeper understanding of your music. By combining this with signal processing algorithms, Magic Flip is able to listen to your performances and turn pages for you as you play. Even if you lose your position in the score or make a few mistakes, Magic Flip is always looking ahead and can correctly extrapolate where page turns should occur.
NOTE: Magic Flip's tracking capabilities are an early research project and may not work for all scores at the start.
# Magic Crop
Music scores often have wide margins that, when scaled-to-fit, just make the whole score appear smaller and harder-to-read than it needs to be.
Magic Crop uses the results from score analysis and intelligently positions pages of music such that their scale is unaffected by whitespace, titles, footers, and other elements unnecessary during performance.
# Tagging and Search
Magic Flip lets you tag scores with keywords to help keep your library organized. You can quickly find scores by keyword, title, or artist with the Search pop-up.
# Metronome
Magic Flip includes a built-in metronome to help keep you on-beat during practice.
# Cloud Integration
Easily import music scores from cloud storage providers including iCloud Drive and Dropbox.
