Hungry Shark World is all about manically gobbling up as much food as you possibly can. It’s a simple concept, but the ocean is fraught with all sorts of dangerous nasties.

Satisfying your appetite can be tough when you’re also dodging water mines, bigger sharks, and spear-throwing scuba divers. Here are a few tips that will keep your belly full and predators at bay.

Stay away from jellyfish

You avoid jellyfish when hanging out at the beach, and that same rule applies when you’re a shark swimming in open waters.

Of all of Hungry Shark’s many hazards, jellyfish are the most plentiful. They come in a number of colorful varieties, but all of them are poisonous and ready to sap your life away.

Try to avoid them at all costs, and definitely don’t try to snack on one!

Use boost

The boost command gives you a little extra speed and attack power - it’s super useful when trying to catch swift fish or heartier prey, like tasty humans.

You should also use it to escape the jaws of bigger sharks, too. Used in this way, boost will keep you well-fed and safe.

Just remember to use it sparingly - the boost gauge takes time to fill up again once you run out!

Don’t forget about the world up above

The ocean is a world unto itself, with plenty of tasty seafood swimming right under your nose.

It’s easy to spend most of your time exploring the briny depths, but don’t forget to take a peek at the surface every now and then. Above water you’ll find even more yummy creatures to sample, including pelicans and unsuspecting beach bums.

The ocean is a risky place, even if you’re an especially toothy shark. Use these simple tips to swim your way to success.
