Rise of Warlords is a real-time strategy game with powerful heroes and gods, available now for iOS and Android

Rise of Warlords is a new real-time strategy game from the wonderfully named Happy Cat Gaming. It's available now for iOS and Android and sees you taking command over one of six civilisations before battling for control of Atlantis.

Within these six factions, there are a series of famous Gods and heroes who will also fight by your side. They include Apollo, Valkyrie, Leonidas, Caesar and Monkey King, among others. As you might expect, before diving into combat, you will need to assemble an army first, which means training soldiers and using the RPG hero development system to make your characters even more powerful.

Once your army is prepared, you can deploy your forces across the map. Some can be stationed near your city to protect it from invaders whilst you might choose to place others in tactical positions so they can easily ambush your foes.

Rise of Warlords promises a giant map 3D map to conquer that covers 2,250,000 square acres. Dotted across the game world is a variety of realistic terrain types, which includes mountain ridges and rivers that lead out to the ocean.

In a world that massive, you might want to team up with other players and form an alliance. This feature allows you to work together to capture the tallest building within each kingdom. Doing so will net you and your pal's additional tactics, extra resources and production bonuses.

Rise of Warlords is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
