Mudd Masher arrives this week

Atooi Games, the minds behind Totes the Goat and Mutant Mudds, have a new game in the works -- Mudd Masher. The game, a hybrid of the independent studio's first two titles, is expected to launch this week on March 2.

Mutant Mudds features Max of Mutant Mudds fame, who travels into the third dimension, or the world of threes, to save the land from a muddy plight. Players guide Max across a 3D grid, turning each square from a muddied mess to much more pleasant terrain. Along the way you'll have to take out some evil mudds and avoid the many traps that lie in wait for your unassuming little voxel buddy -- timed spikes and other deadly obstacles abound. Of course, it's not all doom and gloom. There are collectibles scattered throughout the levels for you to discover, as well.

The game plays out across eight different environments, and features the chiptunes folks have come to expect from a Mudds game. We're looking forward to seeing what Mudd Masher has in store for us this Thursday.
