Uncharted: Fortune Hunter isn't terrible. In fact, it's really good. Its blend of puzzling ideas work really well, and there's enough content here to keep you playing for hours.

But it isn't a walk in the park, as some of the later puzzles are really rather tricky.

Don't worry though, we've got your back with a few hints and tips that should set you in good stead to grab the gold without getting a spike inserted somewhere in your body a spike isn't meant to go.

Play smart, think a few moves ahead, and you'll be chugging beers with Sully in no time.

Bombs

Bombs are great. Bombs explode. Explosions are great. But you can also pick the bombs up and use them to hold down switches.

What's even more useful is the fact you can shoot those bombs from a distance, blowing them up and depressing the switch to open a path that you wouldn't have been able to access without it.

Darkness

Some of the later levels are pitch black. Uh oh, what are you going to do? What if you fall in a hole? Well, for starters, drawing a path in the dark lights a lot of squares up, so you can get some idea of what you're walking into.

Just drag your finger back along the path when you've had a look around so you don't sprint down it and miss the chance to grab a key.

Extra treasure

On most of the levels where there are extra lumps of treasure, it's impossible to grab that gold and finish within the move limit, so don't even try.

Instead, focus on completing one of the tasks at a time. We'd say go for the key first, because you'll usually figure out a way to grab the additional loot while you're doing that.

Switch tricks

Once you've pushed or shot a switch for the first time, you'll be able to see which blocks it moves around. So pay attention to what you're stood on, otherwise you might end up falling down a hole or getting a spike all stuck up in you.

Also you can't shoot switches while you're carrying anything, but putting an object down doesn't cost you a move.

Turrets

A top tip for getting past the moving turrets is counting the number of squares you're going to move before you commit. You can work out where the turret is going to be pointing with each step and keep yourself safe.

Remember you don't have to move in a sensible straight line, zig-zagging around is a great way to make sure the turrets aren't pointing at you.

Are you a bonafide Nathan Drake now, grabbing treasure like Pac-Man gobbles up pellets? You can thank Harry in the comments below then.
