11 Out of 10 Rockstars Agree: SongPop 2 is Coming to the App Store Next Week

The original SongPop was a decent place to get your music trivia groove on. But soon we'll be able to get our hands on the more robust sequel, so out with the old!

SongPop 2 is essentially more SongPop, only "more" might be putting it lightly. The game still uses "Name That Tune" style trivia but now it offers over one hundred thousand tracks and will be including curated playlists with new releases every week. Playlists can also be customized to fit your own taste in music by setting a few user preferences when you first start up the app. There's even a new Party Mode that will let you play on your own (i.e. not one-on-one like the default) to compete for leaderboard superiority and prizes. No need to worry about losing your stuff from the first game either, as you can sync your account to the sequel to carry over any playlists you've already purchased or unocked.

You'l be able to download SongPop 2 for free next week on July 9.
