Explore, learn, and marvel at the Wilmington area’s favorite family destination: the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher, located in Kure Beach, NC at the mouth of the Cape Fear River. Tickets, a photo/video gallery, and an up-to-date schedule of Aquarium programs are all available through this smartphone app, along with directions to the Aquarium. Support Our Living Treasures through membership and volunteer opportunities. Open 9AM-5PM, year-round.

At the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher, visitors journey along “The Waters of the Cape Fear” – from freshwater streams and swamps, to coastline habitats, reefs, and the open ocean. There are so many things to do:
-- Touch a live shark
-- Climb along Adventure Reef
-- Meet an albino alligator
-- Talk to a SCUBA diver
-- Come face-to-face with a sea turtle

Food and drink is available at the SharkBites snack bar daily from March through September and on weekends during October and November.
