Find up-to-date, year-round information on lodging, dining, attractions, wildlife, and the whole range of activities available here in the lake country. Find interactive maps, a comprehensive events listing, as well as the latest news from the Timberjay, the area’s award-winning weekly newspaper.
Our area includes Lake Vermilion, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, and Voyageurs National Park, and the communities of Tower-Soudan, Ely, Cook, and Orr, which sit just north of the Mesabi Iron Range in Minnesota’s Arrowhead.
The Timberjay staff lives and plays in the lake country, so we know the area better than anyone else.
