Students can learn through games play and some adaptations to traditional games like Bingo can quickly turn academic tasks into a fun and exciting learning activity.
Bingo the Musical is a set of Bingo Cards for varying standards of music skill. There are opportunities for beginners to learn to read notation effectively, and opportunity for more advanced students to develop their aural and theory skills with activities in Melody, Intervals, Rhythm and Chords.
Throw a little prize into the mix for your best student and you will quickly have your class working on task at learning their musicianship skills whilst having a great time doing it.
Bingo the Musical can be used with whole classes of students, small groups or individuals. The App has a Bingo Compare that can run the games or a teacher can compare the games using the Guide section of the program. The use of the Bingo Compare will also allow students to check their results to ensure accurate recognition of the different items.
My own classes have played this game and it is by far my most requested activity from my students.
