Nothing allows the daylight to flood in like opening the curtains, and The Big Picture Film Festival returns in March 2014 to shine a light on the social justice issues that that are important to us all.

The Big Picture Film Festival takes filmgoers on a round the world journey, bringing exciting and powerful global stories directly to you.

Film can be powerful agent for social change, and the festival proudly showcases a carefully selected collection of films highlighting those who have taken a stand against inequality. The festival celebrates those who have, and are, making change in society.

Nothing changes unless we do. As Australia’s only social justice themed arts event, we believe in the power of the individual to bring about lasting change.

At the Big Picture Film Festival, we give the audience a voice, and you’ll have the chance to get involved by volunteering, by voicing your opinion, to engage in a particular issue.

In February 2014 we will be letting you know details of the exciting films selected for the 2014 festival, but in the meantime there are plenty of ways for you to get involved.
