App Description
Whether you are a teacher who wants to use this App to enhance children’s learning alongside your letters and sounds sessions, or a parent who wants to support your child’s learning of phonics at home, this App has something for everyone!
The Twinkl Phoneme Board allows children to practise segmenting for spelling - the child has to make a word using the letters on the board.
This app is specifically designed to complement the word lists from the DfE Letters & Sounds Document which can be found on pages 102 & 103.
The app will only detect these words, and these must be spelt phonetically. For example the word 'aim', would not be spelt: a-i-m, but instead a-aim.
We advise that this activity is used with teacher or parent guidance.
How many words can your children make using the letters? This activity is useful to practice both blending and segmenting skills and is key to learning in this Phase of Letters and Sounds.
