App Description
Whether you are a teacher who wants to use this App to enhance children’s learning alongside your letters and sounds sessions, or a parent who wants to support your child’s learning of phonics at home, this App has something for everyone! The Twinkl Phoneme Board allows children to practise segmenting for spelling - the child has to make a word using the letters on the board:
If the word is a real word then Metal Mike will sound out the word. The child can then practise blending the sounds to read the word.
If the word is nonsense, then Metal Mike will let the child know and they can try again.
How many words can your children make using the letters? This activity is useful to practice both blending and segmenting skills and is key to learning in this Phase of Letters and Sounds.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
If you have purchased the twinkle Phonics Suite, it is not necessary to purchase this app.
Please remember to turn your iPad off mute and ensure you have the latest iOS before starting to use this App!
