This awesome new Montessori-based game is a perfect puzzle for an inquisitive mind, offering learning through simplicity, demonstration and repetition.
It is one of a series of different puzzles that are perfect for a young toddler develops who has developed a high level of eye-hand coordination but hasn't yet learnt to differentiate shapes. Its design has been carefully developed to help with the cognitive ability to separate elements based on contrast, known as the figure-ground concept.
How to present Toys Monte using the Montessori method:
1. Place the iPad in front of your baby and tap the picture using your pointer finger. It's useful to name the puzzle and be descriptive, for example "round ball".
2. Engage your infants interest with a single word such as look or watch.
3. Drag and drop one of the picture with your finger to match the silhouette.
4. Offer your child a turn.
Everything a child sees, listens to and touches contributes to their learning.
