Experience rare pics and videos of the early days of the Vietnam War and Top Gun as told by Tom "The Duck" Wukovitz, a decorated Navy F-4 Phantom pilot who flew with the men who were instrumental in forming the Top Gun school of San Diego. The movies and pics contained within this app are from 1966 and 1968. You will learn first-hand what it was like to be fighting MIG's and bombing over North Vietmam with never-before seen footage taken by the pilots themselves. Also experience a USO show with Bob Hope and Rachel Welch and an early 70's MIramar Air show. Watch the British get buzzed while trying to deliver supplies to our enemies, and learn other little known facts about the war and the aircraft used at the time.
Squadron name: VF-21 The Freelancers Carrier Air Group 2, Operation Rolling Thunder, featuring the USS Coral Sea and USS Ranger. Included are rare operation scenes from Norhern Vietnam and the Sea of Japan as well as many types of aircraft and ships.
