Fans of retro arcade games will love the latest offering for the iPhone. ‘Captain Flanders’ is a classic ‘Thruster’ style setup where you fly your craft through a series of obstacles to escape the network of alien caves in which you are trapped.
Dodge lasers, lightning, proxy guns and mines and destroy walls of rock that block your path. Your fuel is limited so make sure you refuel at landing pads along the way or you face certain death.
Rookies can train before their mission using the virtual training feature which takes you through four levels to get used to the controls - Landing, Flying, Shooting and Bombs.
Once you’ve mastered your spacecraft move on to story mode, and engage thrust for the real action!
Using thrust will launch and fly the ship, rotating the iPhone tilts the ship and gravity is in place so without thrust the ship will fall.
The game takes elements from retro game classics like, Lander and Thrust, but the iPhone’s sensitive accelerometer brings a whole new twist to the game that really tests your hand-eye coordination.
