Dear students,
faculty members and other visitors,
I’d like to remind you that we create our own future and destiny. The value of time cannot be emphasized enough, and it shouldn’t be wasted on thoughts and behaviors that are unproductive and undesirable.
Amid the fierce international competition arising from globalization, the very survival of a nation depends on the economy and creation of wealth, and as a result, economic achievements are now valued more than a simply show of nationalistic pride. It is important to note that it is only through education that economic prosperity can be realized. Thus, we have set our missions as follows:
first, as a university centering on practical education and training, we will run a curriculum that guarantees jobs for our graduating students; second, we will implement a qualification certification system, enabling students to acquire the necessary certificates in their field of major or desired field; third, we will train our students to become leaders in the promising fields of the future including but not limited to IT, BT, CT, MT, CCT, HT and ET industries; fourth, we will serve the public and our nation; and fifth, we will operate an advanced continuing education system.
In order to achieve these objectives, we will continue to dedicate our efforts to quickly adjust to the changes in the educational demands, expand the career consultation system, educate students to be top-notch professionals in their specialized fields, implement double degree program with overseas companies as a means to enhance our international competitiveness, and conduct R&D on ginseng and its products to gain worldwide recognition for their high quality. Moreover, we will ensure that the best possible education is provide to the 10,000 undergraduate students in the colleges of Social Science, Police & Protection, Tourism & Health, Engineering and Art & Physical Education and the 1,500 graduate students in the 38 master’s degree and 8 doctorate degree programs.
Korea has made remarkable achievements over the recent years such as the hosting of the G20 Summit, ownership of an oil field in U.A.E., signing of the Korea-U.S. FTA, our leaders engaging in talks with the leaders of the U.S. and China, Hallyu (Korean wave) boom, and demonstration of excellence in sports at international competitions. However, there is still a need for Korea to focus on providing quality education to join the ranks of the most advanced countries in the world.
Allow me to conclude this message by using the famous quote by the late U.S. President John F. Kennedy with a slight change: “Ask not what your country or school can do for you, ask what you can do for your country, society, school and community.”

동영상 데이터의 경우 WiFi 지역이 아닌 경우 통신사와 계약된 요금제에 따라 데이터 사용료가 부과될 수 있으므로 참고해 주시기 바랍니다.
동영상 콘텐츠는 지역, 네트워크환경(WiFi, 3G, 4G)에 따라 속도차가 있을 수 있습니다.
사진 업로드의 경우 단말기의 종류에 따라 업로드가 되지 않는 단말기도 있습니다.
