App Description
Build up your essential listening skills anytime, anywhere. It’s fun, interesting and free. This app version of the listening pathway on the popular Pathways Awarua site enables you to work offline. You can choose to use the app in ‘guest mode’, or register an account online at pathwaysawarua.com to track your progress.
Pathways Awarua: Listening is a sequenced pathway of 10 interactive modules developed for adult learners to strengthen their listening skills.
Interactive
The modules are carefully structured. As users move through each module the teaching scaffolds are removed until the learner is more independently using the new skill. Each module includes a sequence of screens, which actively engage the users in learning tasks. The users interact with the content through drag and drop, multi-choice, check-box, highlighter, draw, and open-answer question types.
Own pace and level
Users can freely move between the different steps (levels) on the pathway to find modules that meet their next learning needs.
Tailored feedback
Users receive immediate and customised feedback on their answers.
Progress tracking
Users can create their own account on the Pathways Awarua website to track their progress. Users accumulate points and certificates for questions answered.
