CSR Racing 2: How to master Live Races

Posted by Nicholas Tylwalk on August 11th, 2017

Want more games like CSR Racing 2? Then check out our list right here

Getting better at racing the AI in CSR Racing 2 is a pretty straightforward process. You run enough races with a particular car to get its shift timing down, continually improve it by buying upgrades whenever you can, and add any fusion parts you grab along the way.

Tuning adds another dimension to the whole affair, but not enough to significantly throw you off course. If you just keep plowing ahead, you'll be able to take down all the crews in the game eventually and figure out what happened to your friends' stolen cars.

The Live Race mode, however, is a different beast. In contrast to some other mobile racing games, it provides CSR Racing 2 with a true multiplayer experience, allowing you to race head to head with a live human opponent at any time (or at least any time the servers are functioning properly).

How to get a Bugatti Chiron in CSR Racing 2

If you've been playing CSR Racing 2 since launch, you've probably got yourself a pretty nice garage by now. Just reaching and participating in Tier 5 races means you've been privileged to drive one of the premier supercars in existence, vehicles sporting prestigious names like Lamborghini or Ferrari.

Still, if you really want to be at the wheel of the freshest thing on four wheels, you'll need to aim even higher. We're talking about the Bugatti Chiron, a car so luxurious and exclusive that you have to be rich (the price tag is over $2.5 million) and know someone (less than 500 came from the factory in the initial production run) to own one.

And yet real car enthusiasts could if they would. The Chiron boasts an insane 1,500 HP engine, capable of sending the car from 0-60 mph in less than 2.5 seconds. It's so powerful that the car actually has an engine limiter said to keep its top speed at 261 mph. Yes, you read that right.

So how can you get your hands on one in CSR Racing 2? There are two ways to nab one within the next few weeks.

CSR Racing 2 was already plenty good. With stunning graphics, enough different game modes to keep people coming back, and actual multiplayer races, Naturalmotion gave gearheads something that was worth the wait.

Could it be even better, though? Most mobile games can be, and the developers have been up to more than just adding new cars to the game -- though there's been some of that too. The latest update for CSR Racing 2tinkers with the gameplay in a couple of areas and even may affect what's in your garage. We opened up the throttle to take a look.

It might not seem like there are all that many ways to go fast in a straight line, but CSR Racing 2 begs to differ.

The follow-up to CSR Racing has proven to be a hit for NaturalMotion and Zynga, bringing high production values and a few gameplay wrinkles to a winning drag racing formula. As players work their way up through five tiers of increasingly difficult competition in search of fame, fortune, and more expensive cars, their skills are put to the test in several different ways.

This racing game sure looks great, but its lack of substance and free-to-play mechanics make it a bit of a drag.

CSR Racing 2 complete vehicle list: How to get every car

Posted by Nick Tylwalk on July 3rd, 2016

In CSR Racing 2, you're only as cool as your garage. NaturalMotion and Zynga stocked their new drag racing title with an imprssive selection of top notch vehicles, enough to ever make Jay Leno envious if they were all in one real life collection.

But it's one thing to talk about all the sweet rides in CSR2 and another to actually be able to grab them for yourself. With two dozen manufacturers represented and cars spread across five different tiers, there's a lot of work to do to collect them all.

How to get more cars in CSR Racing 2

NaturalMotion and Zynga brought a lot of real life cars to the table for CSR Racing 2. From souped up everyday rides made by Nissan and Hyundai to supercars produced by the likes of McLaren and Pagani, there really is something for everyone.

Naturally, the first question a lot of gamers have about a title like this is, "How many cars on there?" That's generally followed closely by another: "How do I get my hands on them?"

CSR Racing 2, or CSR2, as it likes to call itself, has finally arrived. The follow-up to the immensely popular drag racing game CSR Racing is the first release from NaturalMotion since the studio's acquisition by Zynga in early 2014.

That takes care of the "why you should care" part. Along with what NaturalMotion is calling "beyond console quality" visuals, CSR Racing 2tinkers with the formula of its predecessor just enough to stake out some of its own turf.

NaturalMotion and Zynga Have Started Teasing CSR2

Posted by Rob Rich on July 2nd, 2015

An official sequel to 2012's CSR Racing is officially on the way, with Zynga and NaturalMotion releasing a short teaser trailer to get everyone excited. Well, as excited as one can get from a trailer with no gameplay footage, anyway.

NaturalMotion has released a preview of their upcoming title, Dawn of Titans. Dawn of Titans immerses you in a world of fantasy as you build your kingdom, raise an army, and capture territories. The focus on this epic action strategy game was the graphics. The game uses proprietary engines called Echo and the Morpheme animation engine to render thousands of units smoothly, with dynamic movement on mobile devices.

NaturalMotion expects to launch Dawn of Titans later this year.

Jenga Just Might Be Apple's Free App of the Week - is Free for a Limited Time, Regardless

Do you enjoy playing stressful "steady hand" games like Jenga but hate all the setup and cleanup involved? Well this is your lucky day. Or maybe week. NaturalMotion's Jenga and Jenga HD are currently on sale for absolutely free.

We thought it was a pretty cool digital adaptation of the physical game. Our own Blake Grundman praised it, saying, "Going against the notion that it was impossible, NaturalMotion games has accomplished the feat of shrinking Jenga to fit into your pocket."

You can download Jenga off of the App Store in its many forms right now for free.

CSR Classics is Full of Ridiculously Pretty Classic Automobiles

I've never been much of a "car" guy, but even I can't look away from the gorgeous feats of engineering in CSR Classics.

Now you can get ahold of your own classic junk heap, then upgrade and repair it until you have something truly worth showing off. Cobras, Camaro, Mustangs, and more are available for acquisition and competition in the game's seemingly endless series of drag races. Being able to restore my own muscle car is more than enough of a draw for me personally (yes, even though I'm not a car guy), but you can check out the extended gameplay trailer - courtesy of Touch Gameplay - below to see if CSR Classics tickles your fancy as well.
