How to unlock more fighters in Tekken without spending big

Posted by Nicholas Tylwalk on March 5th, 2018

Tekken iOS screenshot fighters for free 1

When you first start playing the mobile version of Tekken, you have access to just enough fighters (three) so that you can participate in every game mode. But do you want to stop there? No, of course you don't.

See, Tekken includes characters from throughout the console/arcade/wherever you play video games franchise, and the only way to really appreciate that fact is to gather as many of the dozens of fighters already in the game at launch. Tekken is a free-to-play affair, so you can definitely pay to unlock fighters faster, but we'd rather focus on the ways you can do it by not spending money.

First, though, let's answer a question you might already have.

Vainglory 5v5: Everything you need to know about the new game mode

Vainglory just got bigger.

Super Evil Megacorp made its mobile MOBA into one of the leaders in its genre by concentrating on 3v3 matches that took many of the aspects people would expect to find andreducing them down to better suit touchscreen devices. But phones and tablets have come a long way since the game first launched, and gamers' expectations have risen as well.

Thus, Vainglory 5v5 is now a thing. Designed with extensive feedback from the game's community, the idea is that it builds upon what players already like and adds an extra layer of strategy and excitement. Super Evil has already made it clear that the new mode is the future of competitive play, so even though 3v3 is sticking around, everyone will want to brush up on the newer, bigger gameplay.

Dissidia Final Fantasy OO - Master the Bravery system

It's time to get brave. Specifically, we're going to talk about how to master the Bravery system that is at the very heart of combat in Dissidia Final Fantasy OO, which makes battles a matter of good timing even though they are 100 percent turn-based.

If you've played the Dissidia Final Fantasy console games, you already have at least an idea of how Bravery works. Every character has a Bravery or BRV score, which is displayed to the right of the health bars for the characters on your team and above the bars of your enemies.

Tactical Monsters Rumble Arena: How to grow your monster squad fast

Posted by Nicholas Tylwalk on January 29th, 2018

It's not glamorous work wrangling monsters in Tactical Monsters Rumble Arena, at least to start. The game features legendary creatures like Dracula and Medusa, but they aren't on your roster when you begin playing, and you could find yourself decidedly underwhelmed by your early game choices.

In fact, just playing through the campaign missions in order, you could find yourself unable to even field a full team of five monsters for some time. Fortunately, we've uncovered some tips on how to expand your squad much faster and even give yourself a shot at the Monstrous and Diabolic monsters that will become the centerpiece of your team.

Tactical Monsters Rumble Arena: Your guide to monster vs. monster tips and tactics

You've played turn-based tactics games on your phone or tablet before. I don't even need to know you to know that's true. But have you ever played with a squad full of famous monsters? Tactical Monsters Rumble Arena (which we're going to call simply Tactical Monsters from here on out) wagers that you have not, and that you'll have a good time doing it.

Going from just a single orc to a roster full of heavy hitters like Dracula, Medusa and more takes some doing, but getting there is more than half the fun in this case. Soak up all of our Tactical Monsters tips and tricks for a monstrous amount of knowledge on how to play the game better.

Here are the best ships at everything in World of Warships Blitz

Posted by Nicholas Tylwalk on January 25th, 2018

Which ships become your go-to choices in World of Warships Blitz can be something of a personal preference. You might want to work through one country's tech tree in particular or just have a certain class that becomes your specialty.

As always the mad PvP scientists at Wargaming have given you plenty of options, something at which they excel. In fact, it might be too many choices when you're just getting into the swing of things.

Ahoy mates! It's time to set out on the high seas for some PvP battles, and ... sorry, actually, World of Warships Blitz has nothing to do with pirates. Let's start over.

World of Warships Blitz is the latest from Wargaming, and like its sibling, World of Tanks Blitz, is a scaled-down mobile version of one of the company's multiplayer PC titles. As the name implies, it features 7v7 naval combat in ships that once did battle in the world's oceans in real life.

CSR Racing 2: How to master Live Races

Want more games like CSR Racing 2? Then check out our list right here

Getting better at racing the AI in CSR Racing 2 is a pretty straightforward process. You run enough races with a particular car to get its shift timing down, continually improve it by buying upgrades whenever you can, and add any fusion parts you grab along the way.

Tuning adds another dimension to the whole affair, but not enough to significantly throw you off course. If you just keep plowing ahead, you'll be able to take down all the crews in the game eventually and figure out what happened to your friends' stolen cars.

The Live Race mode, however, is a different beast. In contrast to some other mobile racing games, it provides CSR Racing 2 with a true multiplayer experience, allowing you to race head to head with a live human opponent at any time (or at least any time the servers are functioning properly).

Bowmasters character guide: All the archers you could ever want

Posted by Nicholas Tylwalk on August 10th, 2017
+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

I don't know much about archery in real life, meaning if there's an apocalypse that leaves us having to hunt food without firearms, I won't be much help. But I've always loved archery in comics, movies, and video games, which is one of the reasons I love Bowmasters.

The game's dark humor and silly gore (if there is such a thing) help a lot too. Most of all, I just want to collect all the different characters and put them all through their paces, even if that means they'll all end up dying bloody deaths dozens of times over. C'est la vie, right?

A few new ones were added to the mix in a recent update, meaning there are now more options than ever for your arrow-shooting pleasure. Here's the entire list of Bowmasters in one handy character guide.

How to get started with Prisma

Posted by Nicholas Tylwalk on July 25th, 2016

If there's one thing people like to do more than taking pictures with their smartphones, it's tinkering with those photos in some way. Numerous apps have sprung up over the last several years that allow you to use filters and special effects to transform your pictures, and it doesn't seem like the appetite for those tricks has been satisfied for all smartphone users just yet.

As evidence, consider the rise of Prisma. Originally released in June, the app has been steadily climbing the App Store charts since then, and is on the verge of breaking into the top 10 as of the time of this post. Prisma's calling card is turning regular photos into pseudo works of art, complete with effects that make it appear your images were painted.
