How to survive in LOUD on Planet X

LOUD on Planet X is a hybrid of a tower defense and rhythm game that pits famous indie acts against invading aliens.

You need timing and strategy in this game in order to succeed, things can get pretty overwhelming pretty quickly. Here are some tips to keep yourself from being overrun:

Alternate lanes

The first thing to note is that the number of eyes an alien has indicates how many times you need to blast them with an amp beam before they die.

You don't want to spend all of your time trying to kill a single alien though, as you may end up getting overwhelmed by others.

Instead, you should periodically hit each approaching alien, as they get stunned, slowing their progress. This way you can keep far better control over your enemies.

Keep an eye out for columns of light

If you see white columns of light on the right side of the screen, that means an enemy is beaming in. This can give you a clue of where to focus your tapping before enemies even arrive.

Save your LOUD for emergencies

If you find yourself having a tough time, or you want to challenge yourself on difficult levels, the best thing you can do is save your LOUD power for when you really need it.

It's very easy to get overwhelmed after missing a few beats, so having a power in your back pocket that can clear the entire screen is something you should save for when things look really dire.
