Clockwork Adventure Game Syberia is Now Available in One Complete Package

Posted by Rob Rich on December 5th, 2014
+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad
Our rating: starstarstarstarhalfstar :: COMPELLING :: Read Review »

Fans of Kate Walker, clockwork automatons, or adventure games in general take note: Syberia is now available on the App Store - in full.

The game follows Kate Walker, a lawyer from New York, who must travel to across Europe in search of an inventor named Hans. Of course, what was supposed to be a simple matter of getting a few signatures and overseeing the sale of an old factory will turn out to be far more complicated (and interesting) than that.

Whereas before you could only download the game in separate parts, now you can get your hands on this classic in a single app. So all that surreal, almost Myst-like adventure is yours for the taking. And you can finally keep it all in once place.

This new, full version of Syberia is available now as a universal download for $6.99.

Red Johnson's Chronicles Review

+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad
By Andrew Fisher on August 15th, 2014
Our rating: starstarstarhalfstarblankstar :: A CHRONICLE OF PUZZLEMENT
Red Johnson's Chronicles is an enjoyable, if campy, detective puzzler. With good visuals and engaging puzzles, its only real failing is its cheeseball dialogue.

Joystick Replay Brings PC/Console Favorite Darkstone to iOS

Posted by Tre Lawrence on March 24th, 2014
+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

Darkstone, the RPG thriller that has roots on PC and Playstation, is now available for iOS courtesy of Joystick Replay (via Microids). Thus, the evil Draak can be battled on Apple devices.

The gameplay should be familiar to folks who have played the other ports. The game itself features improvable heroes, localized subtitles, real-time play, plenty of weapons, and hundreds of enemies - among other things. Most importantly, the experience has been specifically tailored for touchscreens.

Darkstone is free (with optional in-app purchases) and available on the App Store.

Garfield Kart doesn't exactly put a paw wrong, it just lacks anything to make it stand out from the crowd.

Dream Chamber is a Noir-Styled Adventure Coming Soon From Microids and Anuman Interactive

Posted by Rob Rich on October 11th, 2013

Charlie is something of a wannabe detective. And when I say "wannabe," I mean he's not even a rookie. He's just some guy who likes to put on a trench coat and try to solve mysteries. But this amateur actually has a trick up his sleeve: Charlie can revisit crime scenes in his dreams and investigate clues through his subconscious. Hence the name Dream Chamber, I'd imagine.

Charlie's point-and-click adventures in crime solving, specifically involving the theft of his girlfriend's jewelry, will be available for the iPad on October 24.

Our rating: starstarstarblankstarblankstar :: LOSING MY RELIGION!
A unique strategy game, Gods vs. Humans sadly misses the mark in a game of destruction versus construction.

By Lee Hamlet on July 29th, 2013
Our rating: starstarstarblankstarblankstar :: CLUNKY CONTROLS
Originally from the Stone Age of console games, this update of a classic platformer doesn't quite hit the mark due to haphazard controls.
