ChartFight is a Battleship type game styled and set in the age of sail. While it is an absolutely beautiful application, the controls are a little quirky (on purpose), and there are some modifications of the game that make it much less strategic over Battleship.

ChartFight allows you to play the usual Battleship game. You place your ship on the grid, your opponent does the same. You try to sink all of their ships before they ship yours. ChartFight allows either single player against the computer or 2 player over WiFi. The interface is fantastic and well designed.

The one change that bothered me about this game the most was the use of single cell ships. The effect is that this changes the game. You might need to blanket the entire field, cell by cell, to find all of the ships. This takes a huge amount of strategy out of the game. Well, not like there was that much strategy in the game to start with I guess.

But to me, shouting "You sank by Brigatine!", just doesn't feel right. But if it's your thing, this is a well developed and executed Battleship game. The price may be a little high considering the trending of games prices recently, but it's still reasonable for the quality of the game.
