Procedurally generated levels are a mark of roguelite RPGs, but how often do you come across one that’s truly made for mobile? UnderKnight takes everything that’s cool about the genre and packages it in a handy, device-friendly package with its bite-sized, one-thumb gameplay. This innovative portrait control system is easy to learn but hard to master, as players will have to be quick to adapt to the changing environments and engaging battles.

UnderKnight lets you hold to bow, swipe to roll, and tap to attack. Each kill earns you experience points that you can use to unlock perks to spice up each run. These boons include flaming swords and exploding enemies, and each time you perish in battle, you won’t have to start completely from scratch. You can equip gear you’ve unlocked or spend gold to nab permanent upgrades to ease up on the unforgiving mechanic a little bit.

Are you ready to become the ultimate one-thumb warrior? With its vivid art style and unique take on the genre, UnderKnight won first place in the very first Digital Big Indie Pitch edition last year during Pocket Gamer Connects Digital #1. You can give it a go by registering for the soft launch on Google Play.
