With the Octopath Traveller 2 releasing today on Sony Consoles, Nintendo Switch, and Windows, now seems like the perfect time for Square Enix to use as a flimsy pretext to shower the player base of the mobile counterpart, Octopath Traveller: Champions of the Continent, with a copious amount of gifts.

Until the 31st of March, players will be able to take part in a commemorative Photo Event based on the campfire scene from a piece of Octopath Traveler 2s’ key art. As well as giving you a chance to take a cosy picture with all your favourite characters, you will also get 100 Rubies just for taking part.

As well as this campfire campaign, you can also avail yourself of a bounty of log-in events across 8 days. You can grab yourself a further 200 Rubies as well as 10 Traveler’s Sacred Seals, all of which will let you take part in 20 Guides to get yourselves some new characters. When you get your new characters you will be able to use the 10 Ultimate Training Tickets the level them up, and one of 8 new Sacred Seals to unlock their new class.

When announcing this event, Square also commented on an error from the development team that occurred on the 22nd. Players of the game were sent a Sacred Seal of the Thunderblade in error, as this was supposed to be sent on the 27th as part of the event. Instead of altering the schedule, the team has acknowledged the error and is allowing players to keep the extra gift, whilst sending a second as per the event, which is a decent move.

To make sure that you don’t miss out on all these goodies, download Octopath Traveller: Champions of the Continent now from the App Store and Google Play.
